F.A.Q.

Q1. Why should I use Sport Akademia?

A: There's a misconception that good student-athletes will be found, recruited, and given tons of money to attend a prep-school or university. Unfortunately, there are thousands of student-athletes like yourself who share similar dreams.

We:

  • Implement academic and athletic solutions. In other words, we are able to identify the schools that match the student-athlete's academic and athletic needs. This Academic and Athletic Oriented Pathway is e-mailed to the student-athlete in PDF format.

  • Connect student-athletes to targeted coaches to increase their chances of getting recruited by the right school. The athletes manage their own Media Profile through our server.

Q2. My goal is to play sports in a Division I (NCAA) program. What are my chances?

A. Though this is a great goal, we don't think student-athletes should limit themselves to compete only in a Division I sports porgram. Depending on the sport, we can show student-athletes the percentage of athletes who make the jump from their senior year of high-school to the NCAA. Our goal is to provide student-athletes with accurate academic and athletic options in order to help them make judicious and clear decisions about their future.

Q3. Is there an age limit to be recruited by an university coach?

A. Everything depends on individual circumstances, sport played, and the university itself.

For example, many NCAA and CIS univeristy hockey porgrams recruit players who are either 19 or 20 years old. Many hockey players who graduate from prep-school may be asked to play 1 or 2 years of Junior hockey in either the United States (USHL / NAHL) or Canada (Junior A / Junior AAA).

Q4. How do I get started?

A. The student-athlete must complete the free online registration form.

Q5. Is my information safe?

A. Yes. To protect your information, we purchased two different Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates. More importantly, the student-athletes share their Media Profile to targeted coaches, only.
